Community Cultural Support
Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, Pipe Ceremonies and Cultural Teachings were held for individuals,
groups and agencies including:
- Sweat Lodge Ceremonies for various group of Nechi students, Two Spirit Circle
of Edmonton and the Edmonton Catholic School Board
- Cultural Teachings for AADAC, Asokan Project, Edmonton Catholic School Board
and the Two Spirit Circle of Edmonton
This year our Institute initiated and supported weekend gatherings
for both women and men. The gatherings entitled, Grandmothers Voices and
Grandfathers Voices, are an opportunity for community members to access
Cultural Teachings offered by Elders from our community. The two gatherings were
highly successful with participation from approximately 40 individuals.
