Specialty, youth-focused and short courses

Nechi develops specialty courses that allow working professionals and students to gain expertise in focused areas such as "Youth Development" and "Tobacco Abuse". These themed courses are available based on demand and may not be available every term.

Youth development courses

Nechi Institute and the Association of Youth Solvent Addictions Commitee (YSAC) have partnered for the purpose of developing and delivering curriculum to meet the need for training in the area of youth and addictions. The following courses are available:

• Youth addictions
• Survival skills for youth workers
• Communicating with youth
• Healthy sexuality

Specialty courses

The following courses have been developed:

• Adult children of alcoholics
• Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder
• Gambling awareness
• Journey to hope and healing: Beyond trauma and abuse
• Residential school history and legacy
• Group facilitation
• Smoking cessation
• Youth tobacco cessation
