Assistance Program
Nechi Institute offers a Student
Assistance Program. Some participants may
experience difficulty coping with a new awareness
which may arise in training. Nechi Institute
will offer our students referrals to counselling, therapy
or support groups.
Students are encouraged to
attend counselling or therapy as part of their
professional development. It is our responsibility
to intervene when students experience emotional
or behavioural problems which interfere with
their participation in the course or when
the nature or magnitude of a problem affects
the quality of learning. Nechi will provide
referrals for those students requiring professional
counselling or therapy.
Personal disclosures will
receive an appropriate response to ensure
the safety of all students. The trainer(s)
will identify high-risk situations which are
required by law to be reported (e.g. homicide,
suicide, child abuse).
